So far no replies.

About 8% percent of downloads get the following error:

Exit status -186 (0xFFFFFF46) ERR_RESULT_DOWNLOAD

Maybe the admin has an idea why ?

It’s the same reason the web sometimes randomly returns a 403 Forbidden. BOINC interprets it as a server error and immediately aborts the download. The WU just gets recycled and sent to someone else, so nothing is lost.
However, there's nothing you can do about it, the server admin needs to fix it.
