I can't access my team page because of a server error.

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Object of class BoincUser could not be converted to string in /home/boincadm/projects/boinc/html/inc/team.inc:360 Stack trace: #0 /home/boincadm/projects/boinc/html/inc/team.inc(360): array_unique() #1 /home/boincadm/projects/boinc/html/user/team_display.php(66): new_member_list() #2 {main} thrown in /home/boincadm/projects/boinc/html/inc/team.inc on line 360

I'll check this.

I can't access my team page because of a server error.

I joined your team using a test account and was able to open GPU Users Group team page successfully.

Can you send me the exact link that you use to access the page?

Thanks

Sure.
https://asteroidsathome.net/boinc/team_display.php?teamid=1832

I have 3 other GPUUG team members join the team here at the project after you opened the team for us.

I could access the team page up until the point the team members informed me that they were in.

Might be the new members joining that has changed things.

No, no change after refreshing the page. Still getting the error.
[Edit]
OK, tried the page in Firefox and it comes up correctly.

Will try clearing the cache in Chrome again and try once more.

That changed nothing. But logging out of the project and then accessing the page works.

So being logged in to the project is what causes the error to show when I access the page.

Well, that's odd. Unfortunately, I can't reproduce that behavior trying both approaches bring logged in and logged out, everything is just fine. Although it is a Boinc issue and not Asteroids@home, I'll keep looking for a solution.
One thing that is clear is that it is related to the cached into the browser's Session storage 'BoincUser' by its Id.

I'll keep you posted if I figure out something.

Well I had no issue viewing the Team page before you opened it up and I joined.

One other thing that is strange with your project is that our Team Forum is visisble to anyone. On all other projects where we have a presence is that our Team Forum is Private and only visible to members. That is not controlled by team admin settings on any other project we are attached to. I believe that setting is controlled by the server software as a default setting of Private for Team forums. But since I am not admin yet and don't have admin priviledges I can't see any team settings to see if that is where the control for Private is located.

But it has always been visible to me and others. I could not post messages in our Team forum until I joined as expected.

I could access the Team forum page after I joined cause I checked for my new member status and the member count increased by one.

But after Ian and Roger joined and commented in the Welcome to the Machine thread, when I next checked the Team page again to see the member count and new member messages, that is when it threw the fatal error the first time.

I'll ask Ian and Roger whether they can access the Team Info page. That may help pinpoint to my userid or any userid that belongs to the team.

Looking at the error message, it mentions the "new_member_list"

The Team Info page only shows me as a new member.

But in fact there are five new members in the team now. Four other current active members from the team who are active in all our projects have joined.

Ian&Steve C.
Freewill
GWGeorge07
Petri33

But they are not showing in the Team Info page as "new_member_list" on the Team Info page.

The server seems to not correctly enumerate the new members.

Going back to your earlier comment that the problem is a BOINC issue and not an Asteroids issue, want to point out we all can access our Team Info page at all our other projects without any issues or throwing system server error messages.

Also, the browser does not matter, Chromium, Chrome and Firefox all have the same issue that the error is shown when logged in but the Team Info page shows correctly when not logged in.

I have no problem seeing the team forum page. Or the team forum. I don’t think the team forum is visible by anyone since I couldn’t see it until I joined the team.

Then that is a clue I guess. That the team forum should be invisible to non-members is the correct situation and you had that.

But for me for some reason, as soon as I joined the project I could see the Team Forum which was immediately, noticeably strange, and I new something was different here in this project. At least for me.

I wonder if my attempt to join the Team through the standard Join Team website process while the team was still closed from Claggy, set some value in my account settings on the server that is confusing the server software now.

Do you see all the new members including yourself listed on the Team Forum info page?

OK, good. Another data point. Confirming you see all the other new members listed on the front page? Correct.

I do not see anyone else listed other than myself.

The URL you posted is the one that throws the server error code for me and no one else apparently.

I can only see that page when I am logged out of the project.

Hi Georgi,

Whatever you did has fixed the Team Info page while logged in for me now.

I see all the new team members listed finally.

But I am seeing a new fatal error in this reply screen under the input window.

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function show_post() in /home/boincadm/projects/boinc/html/user/forum_reply.php:131 Stack trace: #0 {main} thrown in /home/boincadm/projects/boinc/html/user/forum_reply.php on line 131

It doesn't seem to have any functional impact though, for now at least.

Thank you.
