Most of us who have Raspberry Pi's have seen this. I have a 5 Pi setup (I wouldn't call it a cluster because I am not running MPI on it).

They will happily run BOINC however they aren't exactly fast. There are currently two projects that I know of that support the Pi natively, that is here and Albert@home. For other projects you'll have to see if you can find binaries for the ARM processor or compile your own. Try Daniel Carrions blog here as he has compiled apps for a few projects.
